I built the first one for my own travel trailer.

I wanted a rear rack that could securely carry a generator, fuel can, and bike rack without relying on a flimsy bolt-on cargo carrier or the trailer's thin factory sewer-hose bumper. So I fabricated a heavy-duty steel rack tied directly into the trailer frame.

Now I offer similar custom builds for other RV owners in the Kansas City area.

Every trailer is a little different, so these are not off-the-shelf racks. Each one is built around your trailer, frame, existing hitch setup, and what you actually want to carry.

Typical Builds

Pricing varies by trailer and configuration, but most builds start around:

• Bike rack setup — $450+
• Bike rack + generator platform — $650+
• Full rear rack — $850+ (bike rack, generator platform, and fuel can mount, similar to the setup on my own trailer)

These are starting estimates. Your exact price will be confirmed before fabrication begins. No surprise invoice at the end.

Reserve Your Build

The $200 design deposit on this page reserves your build slot and covers the initial consultation, measurements, planning, and design work for your rack.

If you move forward with the build, the full $200 is applied toward your final invoice.

The deposit is refundable if you cancel before the initial consultation. Once the consultation has taken place, the deposit is non-refundable, even if you decide not to proceed with fabrication (I'm a real person spending real time scheduling, measuring and designing from scratch).

During the consultation, I'll look over your trailer, take the necessary measurements, discuss what you want to carry, and work through the best way to build and mount the rack.

After that, I'll confirm the proposed design and final price with you before any fabrication begins.

Nothing gets fabricated until you approve the plan and price.

How It Works

1. Purchase the $200 design deposit on this page.
2. We schedule the initial consultation and go over your trailer and what you want the rack to carry.
3. I inspect the rig, take measurements, and work through the design and mounting options.
4. I confirm the proposed build and final price with you.
5. Once you approve it, I fabricate and weld the rack in my shop.
6. I install the completed rack on your trailer.

Most builds can be completed within approximately 1–2 weeks, depending on the project and current shop schedule.

This is a custom, in-person fabrication and installation service for the Kansas City metro area.
