For sagging or separating TV screen panels when a wrap-around clip will not fit.

These universal stick-on TV screen retention clips mount to the side of the TV with 3M VHB tape. A small lip wraps around the front and supports the edge of the screen panel. They work with many TVs that have thick bezels, curved backs, or other shapes that keep my Samsung-specific clips from fitting.

No TV disassembly required. Clean the mounting spot, peel, place, and press.

Fitment

These are semi-universal. The shape of the back of your TV matters much less with these, but the side mounting area still needs:

  • A reasonably flat spot on the side about 1/2 inch wide for the tape
  • Enough room at the screen edge for the small lip to reach around the front

Not sure about your TV? Send me the model number and a picture of the screen edge before ordering. I'll tell you straight whether I think they will work.

Fitment on models I have not personally tested cannot be guaranteed.

Installation

  1. Clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry.
  2. If you want them evenly spaced, measure and lightly mark the clip locations with a pencil.
  3. Peel the red liner from the tape.
  4. Gently press the separated or sagging section of the screen panel back against the frame.
  5. Place the clip so the small lip catches the front edge of the screen panel.
  6. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
  7. Give the adhesive 24 hours to reach full strength.

3M VHB tape is strong, so take your time placing the clips. They are not meant to be removed and reused repeatedly.

Which Set Do I Need?

If you have a 75-inch Samsung Crystal UHD TV, including the DU6950 and possibly similar models, the wrap-around clips are the better choice because they need no adhesive. If you have another TV, or the wrap-around style will not clear your frame, get these.

They are intended to support a screen panel that is separating from the frame. They do not repair a cracked or damaged LCD panel, backlight, electronics, or other internal TV components.

Installation or use of a third-party accessory may affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Adhesive mounting can leave residue or affect the finish on the side of the TV.
